On December 8, 2024, the inaugural Skylo X Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge Trail Race concluded successfully!

This event was co-hosted by Beijing Sikailue Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. and Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge Tourism Management Co., Ltd. of Diqing Prefecture, drawing cross-country racing experts and hiking enthusiasts from across the country and igniting a passion for sport along the picturesque banks of Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge High Route, one of the world’s ten classic trekking trails and a top‑rated scenic canyon in China as well as a premier sports‑tourism route, is renowned far and wide for its breathtaking natural beauty and distinctive geological setting. On race day, the atmosphere at the starting line was electric, with participants eager to take on the challenge. The event drew hundreds of runners, including well‑known trail runners from across the country, as well as many newcomers making their debut in mountain‑trail races.

The Skyler Elite Team swept the men’s and women’s second-place finishes, once again shining a spotlight on the spirit of sportsmanship. Originally in first place, Skyler Elite Team athlete Mao Wenzhang had been leading throughout the race, even going so far as to correct another rookie’s running form and technique along the way—then, just 10 meters from the finish line, he graciously ceded the top spot.

On one of the world’s ten classic hiking trails and one of China’s ten most beautiful canyon routes, Skyler ran side by side with athletes, cutting through the wind with boldness and untamed spirit, racing into the mountains and wilds. Let’s create unforgettable trail‑running moments for 2024!
