Skyler & Hiking China’s “Outdoor Leader Development Program,” Session 10, is set in Hailuogou, Garzê, Sichuan—a hidden gem at the foot of Mount Gongga. Here, low‑altitude glaciers coexist with pristine primeval forests, and a rugged terrain coupled with a highly variable climate creates a natural, hands‑on outdoor training ground. Moreover, the Gongga Mountain region itself stands as a spiritual symbol of Chinese outdoor adventure, having witnessed world‑class climbs as well as countless hikers’ first experiences on the plateau. In short, Western Sichuan is the ideal cradle for nurturing China’s next generation of outdoor leaders.

Here, participants embark on an immersive, fully‑enclosed learning experience. From risk assessment and terrain recognition to weather forecasting, emergency rescue, wilderness survival, and team collaboration, every module is meticulously aligned with the core demands of outdoor pursuits, and each skill is designed to equip learners to handle unexpected challenges in the mountains and wilds. Whether it’s attentive note‑taking in the classroom or hands‑on field exercises, students approach their training with deep respect and dedication, mastering life‑saving skills through rigorous study and practice—ultimately transforming themselves into seasoned professionals.

With more than 20 years of deep roots in China’s outdoor community, Skywalk knows that reliable gear is only the starting point—professional guides are the cornerstone of safety in the mountains and wilderness. As more and more people head out into nature, so too do outdoor risks; systematic training for professional guides has become urgently needed. To address this, Skywalk has joined forces with Hiking China to launch the “Outdoor Guide Development Program,” enlisting top-tier instructors from the Chinese Mountaineering Association to provide comprehensive guidance throughout. The program features a closed-loop training system that combines theory with hands-on practice, ensuring that safety serves as the solid foundation for every adventure.

Outdoor Leader Development Program

The true essence of outdoor sports has never been the reckless conquest of nature, but rather the thoughtful, professional reverence for life. SKYRACE has consistently upheld this ethos—whether by unveiling China’s Top Ten Heavy‑Gear Hiking Routes, upgrading our leader‑training programs with the “Advanced Leader Rally,” or developing cutting‑edge outdoor gear and building a comprehensive outdoor safety ecosystem. Our role has long since evolved from a mere equipment provider to a co‑builder of a thriving outdoor safety ecosystem. Behind every successfully completed heavy‑gear hiking challenge and every safe return from an expedition lies the support of systematic training and the steadfast protection of expert expertise.

True passion is never about setting off blindly—it’s about arriving safely and returning fully satisfied. The “Outdoor Leader Development Program” is now accepting applications for its brand‑new session starting in May 2026. Looking ahead, Skylo will continue to deepen its commitment to outdoor safety. As China’s leading brand in heavy‑duty hiking gear, we’ll wield professional equipment as our shield and systematic training as our blade, nurturing more outstanding outdoor leaders, safeguarding every outdoor enthusiast’s dreams of the mountains and wilderness, and enabling more people to embark on their journeys through mountains and seas with confidence and peace of mind—living up to their love of the outdoors.
